This lovely boy is free to a good home. He isn't fully grown yet but if you are looking for golden chicks this spring, he is your man.
All JoJo's chicks are roosters. All 5! They are cute little boys if anyone is wanting one. All free. They are too young to see how they turn out but if you want to make sure your rooster is really tame get a really young one like this. Update: 2 August 2013, all roosters have found new homes, thanks everyone. It is very quiet here with just 10 hens, 2 pullets and Bobby & Colin..

I have finally put some current photos on the photos page.... I think this is Betty and Jessica. I also see that I didn't write anything about the pre christmas chicks. We had 20 chicks hatch and only 1 survive - I'm pretty sure it was a local cat. I was beside myself. Only Julia had one chick left so we have called her Nicola to keep the political theme and sent her to the country for safe keeping until she is a bit bigger. Lettie had only 4 chicks hatch. 3 from Rodney (my Mother's rooster & hens) and 1 from Bobby. Seems everyone has a poor hatch rate this year. Anyway the 4 that did hatch are perfect. No spots of colours anywhere not even on the new feathers. I'm praying they are all hens. Lettie is lovely with them and is very patient teaching them to eat their weetbix.
Jo Jo left her 6 chicks and returned to the rooster, when the chicks were only 4 weeks old. They are doing well but get lots of extra attention from me so are extremely tame and always come when they are called. I am getting so many requests for eggs I can't keep up. The pullets are laying but the eggs are too small for hatching yet. Joan (b May 2012) - A lovely dark pullet, very even colouring and round shape.
Poor Joan was caught by the dog and has not survived. I am very disappointed, she was quite different to all the other hens and I like the darker colours, also a very sweet personality. Jasmine is on a visit to Wembley Primary so the grade 4 students can watch as her chicks are born. There are 7 eggs and the chicks are due Wed 7th and the eggs are peeping wildly so all looking good so far. I hope some students add some comments here....
